It is very hard to believe how Rachel Prince or anyone could be so allergic to water.

Urticariahivestreatment.com article (Article about aquagenic urticaria.)

DailyMail article (Feb. 29, 2008 article about Ashleigh Morris, who also suffers from this.)

Since her body is 98% water she is in a bit of a pickle.

BLOGER-486140, I think perhaps the most amazing thing is how she manages with the water that is part of her body.

body is 98% water

I think the percentage actually is around 50% to 70%, depending on the individual, as indicated by the link below, but I get your point.

Vegetables are mostly water, so how does she pull that trick off?

Good question, Scotty70! I guess she has to be very careful about what she eats.

You guys have already said what I am also thinking.

I do not want to say that this health problem is "all in her head", but .... please don't anybody tell her she is mostly made of water. She may not be able to take the new knowledge.

I feel bad for her, because, in the photos with her man-friend, she seems like such a sweety. I have deemed this allergy to be really unfair.

I guess Otter Pops are out of the question. Yumm.

There must be something in the water she's having a reaction to, but no one can be allergic to water. What when it rains she goes into fits?

Rahlly, it seems very unusual!

What's common in rain, tears, sweat, blood, saliva and water?

Hydrogen and Oxygen?.... trace products from the environments.

Exactly, her skin reacts very harshly to these elements. And when it rains, she doesn't go out and if she's caught in it...she's going to have a major reaction to it.

    Xception,

    A: Water, salt, sodium, chlorine...
.... maybe there is some poisonous heavy metal in the water supply she's allergic to.

poisonous heavy metal in the water supply

Dancing Spiderman, since she is allergic to rain as well as drinking water, it doesn't appear to be related to such an impurity. The article, and the piece I linked to in comment #1, indicate this is an allergy to water.

Ummm james where do you think rain comes from, our water supply, so an impure water supply can lead to impure rain. She can't be allergic to oxygen since our atmosphere is made up by volume of 20.95% being oxygen. Is she then allergic to hydrogen? Really? One of our most pure substances? There must be an impurity somewhere else.

True, Rahlly, thanks for pointing that out. But rain is generally much, much purer than our water supply.

If her allergy is not to water, she could possibly drink distilled water, which I'm guessing in her case would give her the same problems.
