I hope educators will seek to inform youths properly.

Many schools, however, tell such questioning students that they should embrace homosexuality and identify themselves as gay.
I don't understand...what school or district's policy is it to simplify such a complicated issue?

Shannoscubie, good question.
To me it seems that a small minority of active and vocal gay rights advocates seem to be overly aggressively pressing their lifestyle (and in my opinion their biased perspective), even on impressionable youths through the school curriculum. Of course, I realize that others can consider me biased.
Obviously much remains unknown about this complex issue.

Well, I'd never heard of the ACP before so I checked out their website and now I understand a bit better the title about the "Doctors" who say "schools may be spreading misinformation about homosexuality."
The ACP has a definite social, not just medical, agenda. Prospective members are vetted on whether their beliefs are in line with the ACP's regarding the family unit, not just on whether they good physicians or not.

Shannoscubie, thanks for the link.
Below is a link to one of the organization's webpages dealing with becoming a member.

The organization does issue policy statements and promote views different from some other organizations and apparently seeks members who share their values.
