Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

I commend Otto Baxter for retaining his virginity.

Below is a link to a March 17, 2009 article about his mother's

search for volunteers to help him lose his virginity.

Otto is really interesting and I commend him as well, especially considering how up for losing his virginity he was on the Vegas trip that Details wrote up.

Really well-done piece by Jeff Gordinier.

Thanks tyler for the link in your comment #1.1 to a nicely written article about Otto Baxter and for sharing your insights!

He seems to be somewhat of a celebrity figure now due to the news coverage.

And maybe his views toward his virginity have matured in a sense now.

Yeah, the Gordinier article mentions him being a known commodity across the pond.

I think that this mother should be ashamed.

There is nothing wrong with maintaining your virginity.

First, the mother should have her heard examined. Second, males with Down's Syndrome are essentially sterile.

Do "essentially sterile" males get females only slightly pregnant?

No, it means there are a couple of studies that document a few males with Down's Syndrome supposedly being fertile.
