A child only reported missing weeks ago apparently has been missing for several years.

Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

I find this terrible.  Even if the child had run away several times, the adoptive parents should have reported him being missing.  It certainly indicates problems with their parenting skills -- and perhaps their possible involvement in the disappearance.

Its kinda hard to understand how NOBODY thought to report him missing. I mean really, what about school, church, neighbors, friends, family phisician?  No questions were ever asked by anyone???  Even if they thought he was a run away, he should have been reported as such.

The boy was homeschooled at the time he disappeared according to this MSNBC story posted from AP last night:  http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/28512579/

From the CBS Story:

Doug Herrman, who lives in Derby and owns a masonry business, said Tuesday that the family would not comment.

Well, there you go.  Mr. Herrman knows his way around construction... especially concrete.

I guess it's time to check every construction site where he worked since 1999.
